A bit of excitement at the observatory this week, but not over excitement.
It is common to find things passing by in astrophotographs from time to time, especially satellites, but when they move as slow as this across a frame, you have to be on your toes to find out what it is.
There are many new discoveries made by astrophotographers, but also many astrophotographers dont look deep into their frames and miss the boat altogether leaving the object to be discovers by someone else.
This is as scientific as it gets these days for amateur astronomers and astrophotographers.
This little object Im sure is an asteroid, but one can never know unless it is checked out by other astronomers with an observatory.
This might also be a non discovered asteroid as well so its good to have it checked out as there are many potentially dangerous rocks out there.
Just down the road..
The Pike River located in Amberg Wisconsin. 12/1/12

I decided to go exploring for new scenary and found it 3 miles down the road from me.
Marinette county in WIsconsin is the waterfall capital of the state, mostly in my area close to Pembine.
Chicadee on a tree branch in my backyard. I love these little birds, they show no fear and are always busy.
Northwoods cookin.. Pike on the grill!
7/21/12 A 28 inch Northern Pike I caught in the Menominee river in NE Wisconsin
6/15/12 Water reflections. Nature, the best artist!
Airborne Northern Pike! Pike fishing on 6/15/12. This is my secret fishing hole... No one comes to this place. There is no access, and you have to make access. Not many know about the place at all, and when you get to shore after you found it, you will need a boat. The fishing kayak is perfect for this:D Its about 1/2 foot to a foot depth til you hit about 20 ft out, then you hit a good drop off where the depth at max is about 13ft. Giant bluegill, medium sized bass and medium sized pike are in here with a sporadic 40incher
