Time and Motion: A 400 minute exposure over my observatory from last night into this morning. Camera used was a Canon 40D and lens used was a Zenitar 16mm fisheye @f/8. ISO 200. 40min individual frames stacked All was hooked up via remote desktop in the house. Photo was taken in Beecher Wisconsin
A meteor captured through the all-sky camera on 12/25/11 @ 0512CST going though Ursa Major (Big Dipper)
Milkyway in my backyard on the 4th of July (Scratched lens). (Update) Just learned how to fix this lens flare. Just use a black sharpie to fill in the scratches, and wipe away the excess before it dries. Supposedly this will work, if not, this lens is going to take a trip to the lens doctor. (Update) Lens was beyond repair, the marker didnt work too well at all. The lens is a paper weight and I now have a new 16mm Zenitar

7/04/11 Better results of the milkyway this morning due to better transparency amdvery minimal air-glow. Time for bed!
I had the chance to photograph comet Garradd after the clouds cleared out on the morning of 9/4/11. This is a first time visitor comet to our solar system that we know of, or that has been documented. Charcteristics are unpredictable so far, and a flare up might occure. 07/03/11 H-a using a Lumicon H-a filter Here are my results using a lumicom H-a screwed onto the lens. Exposure is 15mins x 9 exposures @ f/4 using a Nikon 50mm f1.8 lens Camera was a Canon 40D modified
